My name is Nancy Traylor and this will be my 23rd year to teach. (Would you believe I began when I was 10? :) )
I grew up in Marlin, Texas, and then went to Baylor University where I met my husband of 22 years. Greg is currently the pastor of First Baptist Church in Beeville. We have three amazing children: Caleb, a sophomore at Baylor University, Graham, a senior at A.C. Jones, and Abigail, an eighth-grader at Moreno. I have taught in Marlin, Waco, and Big Sandy, Texas before coming to Beeville in 2003. I have taught PK, 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th grades, as well as Reading Intervention for Grades 3-5 and 6-8. Language Arts is my favorite subject area. I am passionate about reading and writing.
I am here because I LOVE what I do. As a student I always enjoyed school, and as a teacher I want my children to love school. My goal is for them to each reach their full potential and I will do whatever it takes to help that happen. I believe that parents and teachers working together as a team is critical to that success. I unapologetically expect each child to give me his or her best, and I will give them my best.
I encourage you to come and talk with me at any time. You are welcome in my classroom. I know that you are entrusting me with your most precious treasure - your child. I will treat them as I would want my own children to be treated.
